Many big Canadian Universities have a huge Neurotech club of 25+ students of all different areas of study. NerurotechX is an organization that hosts a University Neurotech competition that encouraged students to create projects that can better the world. On of our main goals for Uvic Neurotech is to give our best shot at eventially winning the competion and creating something to be proud of.

This will not only benefit the team: looks really good on a resume, win some cash, get to travel, work and gain expereince in growing technology, learn about out brains and have a lot of fun working as team. It benefits Uvic, as Uvic is many times over shadowed by UBC it would be really good publicty for Uvic (a relaitively small school compared to UBC and UFT) to win a competetions. The world and community: never in history has there been a discoverly of a possible implemnetation of technology that has not been made. this is powerful stuff, good to know about it, and use it for the greater good
